Scientifically proven: Aumio helps children sleep better.

A scientific study with over 450 families at Freie Universität Berlin showed: Children who use Aumio regularly sleep more calmly, longer, and more restfully.

What were the study findings?

Better sleep

Children who used Aumio fell asleep more easily and woke up feeling more refreshed. The improvement in sleep quality lasted throughout the 12-week study period.

Shorter bedtime routine

According to parents, children using Aumio fell asleep about 30 minutes faster on average. Evenings became noticeably calmer and more harmonious.

Greater wellbeing

Beyond sleep quality, children’s overall health-related wellbeing improved significantly. They felt more balanced, focused, and content during the day.

More relaxed parents

Parents benefited, too. They reported feeling less stressed, enjoying calmer evenings, and experiencing a more balanced family life.

Children at the center of our development

Building on scientific evidence, we developed Aumio together with families according to the ethical principles of the Designing for Children’s Rights Guide.
Through co-creative workshops with families, we are inspired and advised by children and parents. All important decisions are made together with the “Young Consultants”, our young Aumio consultants aged 8-14.

Rooted in science

Aumio began as a research project at Freie Universität Berlin. The app was originally developed to help children with ADHD through relaxation and mindfulness exercises. From this foundation, Aumio evolved into today’s app that helps children relax and fall asleep more easily.

Early studies with Aumio showed promising results

Initial studies found that Aumio’s child-friendly exercises helped reduce impulsivity and restlessness while improving concentration in daily life. Parents also reported that their children seemed calmer and more balanced. These early findings strongly shaped Aumio’s ongoing development.
